About CPRBD
The Center for Policy Research on Business and Development (CPRBD) is a distinguished research, training, and consultancy institute under the University of Dhaka. Established on November 10, 2013, by a decision of the University Syndicate, CPRBD operates as a non-profit and autonomous think tank dedicated to advancing knowledge and policy insights on Bangladesh’s evolving business, economic, and social landscapes.

Vice Chancellor, University of Dhaka
Professor Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam is a Professor of Physics at the University of Dhaka and currently serves as the Vice Chancellor of the University. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the University of Toyama, Japan, and has held several academic and leadership positions in higher education.

Executive Education Program on Disaster Risk Finance for Bangladesh

The World Bank Group (WBG)’s “Executive Education Program on Disaster Risk Finance (DRF) for Bangladesh” recently concluded in Savar, Dhaka, after four days of high-engagement learning with senior Government of Bangladesh (GoB) officials and development partners. It was delivered as a WBG Academy Pilot Practitioner Program and hosted in collaboration with the University of Dhaka’s Center for Policy Research on Business and Development.
